Programme of European Event on 16 November 2022 - Glass, the hidden gem of a carbon-neutral future

Glass, the hidden gem of a carbon-neutral future / Save the Date: 16 November 2022

The year 2022 has been declared the "International Year of Glass" by the United Nations - a reason for Glass Alliance Europe to plan a special event in cooperation with the Representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the EU in Brussels.

The event takes place against the backdrop of the current energy crisis, which is putting the production sector in Europe under immense pressure.

  • How does glass contribute to sustainable growth in Europe?
  • What strategic investments are the industry making to rediscover the infinite potential of glass in all its applications?
  • What policies are needed to ensure that glass can continue to make its positive contribution to the EU's 2050 climate neutrality target?

This collaborative event will enable a high-level dialogue between decision-makers from the European Institutions, EU Member States and representatives of the glass industry from across Europe and from all application areas.
